Vintage Tang Dynasty Style Sancai Jug

This captivating jug pays homage to one of China’s most beloved ceramic traditions: Tang dynasty sancai, or “three-color” ware. Originating centuries ago, sancai glazes were prized for their flowing, molten quality—earthy tones of amber, green, and cream cascading over sculpted forms like liquid light.

Here, that spirit lives on in a vintage vessel found in Shanxi province.
