There are some objects that feel like they were made to sit at the very center of a space. This 7" Tibetan temple bronze plate, alive with nine dragons in raised relief and outlined in gold, has that kind of gravitational pull.
The surface is dense with movement — dragons twisting through clouds, their bodies emerging and disappearing in high relief. The old purple bronze carries a deep, time-softened sheen, while the gold outlining catches the light like lightning across a dark sky. It feels less like a simple plate and more like a compact mandala of power and protection, made to gather good fortune wherever it rests.
On a low altar, console, or bookshelf, it reads as a focal point even when styled with restraint: a place to rest prayer beads, a single stone, or nothing at all. In a Japandi or wabi-sabi interior, it adds a strong, circular accent — ornate in detail, calm in scale.
