This antique bronze jar comes from a Tibetan temple collection and embodies the weight and mystery of an old ritual vessel. The rounded body is finished with verdigris tones and cinnabar-red accents, while beast-head textures and ancient script designs wrap around the surface, giving it the presence of an object drawn from a shrine or buried treasury.
A distinctive lifting beam handle arches over the top, flanked by stylized animal heads that recall traditional guardian motifs. The combination of verdigris, darkened bronze, and cinnabar highlights brings depth to the form; every angle reveals new details in the casting and surface work. At 7 inches high and 7.1 inches long, with a substantial weight of 2.9 kg (including packing materials), it feels solid and grounded in the hand and on the shelf.
In a modern interior, this jar works as a strong sculptural focal point on a console, altar table, or low cabinet. It pairs beautifully with temple-origin thangkas, guardian figures, and lacquerware, anchoring a Temple & Ritual vignette with its quiet gravity. Empty, it reads as a complete artwork; styled next to a simple candle, stone, or branch, it becomes the heart of a contemplative corner.
