This compact Tibetan temple-style shrine is carved from old boxwood and brings together Guanyin Bodhisattva with Eight Buddha figures in one intimate altar piece. Three hinged panels open like a small traveling shrine or “three open boxes,” revealing finely detailed figures framed by simple architectural borders.
The warm tone and smooth patina of the boxwood give the carving a quiet, contemplative presence, while the small scale makes it easy to place on a desk, bookshelf, or bedside table. Open, it becomes a complete mini-altar; closed, it rests as a discreet, protective object in an office or study.
Ideal for those who want a dedicated sacred space without needing a large home shrine, this piece offers a portable focus for daily practice, protection, and reflection.
