This 34" Tibetan Temple Collection mala brings together the depth of natural lapis lazuli with the quiet rhythm of 108 Buddha beads. Each small lapis sphere is threaded into a continuous strand that can be worn as a necklace, wrapped around the wrist, or draped over an altar as an amulet of presence and protection.
Lapis lazuli has long been associated with clarity of mind, inner truth, and a deep, midnight-sky calm. In Buddhist practice, a 108-bead mala is used to count mantra recitations or breaths, helping the mind settle into repetition and stillness. Here, the rich blue of the stones and their gentle weight in the hand invite a slower pace and more deliberate attention.
At 86 cm (33.9") in length, this mala feels substantial without being overwhelming. The natural variations in color and pattern across the lapis beads hint at age and character, making it as visually compelling on a shelf or statue as it is functional in the hand.
