This pair of old bronze and cinnabar amulets comes from a Tibetan temple collection and features Chinese loong (dragon) imagery combined with Buddha-card style relief. Each pendant presents a sinuous dragon surrounding or framing sacred motifs, merging the protective power of the dragon with the blessing of the Buddha.
Bronze bases are overlaid with cinnabar-red lacquer or pigment, giving the pieces a deep, auspicious color associated with vitality and protection in Chinese culture. Soft wear along the edges and high points hints at long handling and devotional use rather than purely decorative life.
Worn as pendants, carried as pocket amulets, or placed on an altar or inside a shrine cabinet, these small pieces function as Dharma protectors: symbolic guardians for the person and the household. They are also well-suited to rest against a thangka base, on a small stand, or in a bowl on a Temple & Ritual console.
