This 15" Tibetan Temple Collection wine pot is as much sculpture as vessel. Cast in old bronze and finished with cloisonné enamel, it takes the form of a stylized fish, its body and tail wrapped in intricate floral patterns. The spout and handle emerge gracefully from the design, blurring the line between functional pot and ceremonial art object.

In many East Asian traditions, the fish symbolizes abundance, smooth progress, and surplus year after year. When combined with a vessel form, it becomes a potent emblem of flowing blessings—material and spiritual. The cloisonné work adds further richness: fine metal lines define petals and scrolls, while enamel-filled sections catch light in shifting hues as you move around the piece.

With its generous height and elongated, sculptural profile, this fish-shaped pot is ideal as a centerpiece on a console, sideboard, or altar table. It can stand empty as a symbolic object, or be incorporated into a larger vignette with other Temple Collection bronzes, incense burners, and offering bowls.

Placement & care

Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners or prolonged direct sunlight to preserve both the patina and enamel color.
