This 14" Tibetan Temple Collection Vajra Phurpa brings together powerful protective imagery from Himalayan Buddhist tradition in a single, finely detailed object. Cast in old bronze with a time-softened patina, the piece features Hayagriva and Mahakala in three-sided form atop a skull motif, rising above the triple-bladed phurpa dagger.

In ritual use, the phurpa symbolizes the cutting through of obstacles, negativity, and illusion. Here, it is reinterpreted as a contemplative object for the home—an anchor for intention as much as an ornament. The multiple faces and skull elements speak to transformation: fear and confusion are acknowledged, then transmuted into clarity and courage.

The vertical form and narrow footprint allow this piece to sit beautifully on an altar shelf, console, or niche. Whether placed near incense and candles, or standing alone as a sculptural focal point, it invites quiet reflection on protection, boundary, and inner strength. The weight of the bronze and the hand-finished details give it a presence that feels both ancient and alive.

Placement & care
Display on a stable, level surface away from high-traffic areas to protect the detailing. Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth; avoid harsh cleaners that could disturb the aged surface.
